TEA & COFFEE
Nepali Tea and Coffee are popular beverages grown in the hilly and mountainous regions of Nepal, known for their rich aroma and unique flavors. Tea is mostly produced in the eastern parts like Ilam and is typically enjoyed black, with milk, or spiced as masala tea. Nepali coffee, grown mainly in mid-hill regions like Gulmi and Sindhupalchok, has gained attention for its smooth taste and organic farming methods. Culturally, both tea and coffee play an important role in daily life and social gatherings. Tea is commonly offered to guests as a gesture of hospitality, served during family meetings, religious ceremonies, and festivals. While coffee is a newer trend, especially in urban areas, it has become a symbol of modern lifestyle and is often enjoyed in cafés and informal gatherings among youth.
